  • Morning all, bucking the no sleep trend here as my pattern is to reach the point of real exhaustion, sleep through a whole night, rinse and repeat.
No rain, blowing a gale though.
I have no real plans, might do the second half of the ironing but will probably concentrate on the finishing of a toddler dress and then start the next knitting thing.
I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back

    Morning all.

I'm crabby. I went to bed earlyish last night cause I couldn't hold up. Hubby woke me as he got into bed.

He slept an hour before waking me again. By this time I'd had enough sleep to see me functioning again but I'd got indigestion at this point. He went back to sleep and I couldn't sleep as he was walking round the bed in his sleep. I managed to sleep around 8am but just been woken by Madness blaring from the bathroom.

    Selfish, selfish man!

    Onwards and forwards

    Have a great day all

After waiting in all day yesterday for a parcel I got woken by a phone call saying my parcel had been delivered at 8a.m.

Put my coat and shoes on and checked outside - nothing! Looked to see if there was a card - nothing! Checked garage - still nothing!!!

Looks like another day when I don't leave the house unless I nip to the shop and leave a note on the door.

    Tru

    I love that carol.

Just been phoned by dd who goes on a work trip to Finland for a week asking what she can take to eat as the place is very expensive. I suggested mugshots, savoury crackers, instant sachets of hot choc and perhaps some Graze boxes.

Seem to have got nothing done today but the kitchen is a bit tidier.

    Hugs to all

  • Hi all
Tru, thank you for the song.
    Zippy, thanks for the link.
Son has phoned, he's not well so won't be visiting, I don't mind as I rather he kept his germs to himself.
Hubby has been persuaded to leave the visit to the crem until after Christmas.
I'm going to buy a rose in his mum's name and put it in a tub and put a plaque on the tub with his mum's details on, this will give him somewhere he can sit and think about her.
    Hugs Hester

Afternoon - I made it home! Glasgow is floating away with the amount of water on the roads and the gales are just awful. Up here it's not so bad, some large patches of water in places but mostly clear and not too much wind - loads of rain though.

At least I'm in my own place which is snug and warm. I've braved the back garden to fill the bird feeders, made a cup of tea and buttered a cherry bakewell scone. Sorted.

    Hope everyone is OK.

Wealthygirl enjoy your visit to Elstree studios. :)

Went Christmas tree shopping this morning. I know what i want but had to walk my legs off to find it. Only to argue with hubby over baubles.

"You cant have huge baubles on a 3ft tree" i moaned.

"Yes you can" He said so i walked off.

Sod the Christmas tree for another year. I'm not going to buy just anything for the sake of it.

We'd only been back an hour and he'd managed to wind 'Youngest' up.

    Oh jeez, roll on Monday.

  • Afternoon all. It's feet up time for a little while. I've just finished my second present wrapping session. Paid a visit to the shop about the decorated Converse for the DGDs this morning and then popped up to the centre to Holl*nd & Ba*rett. I think the assistant thought, hey up we've a right hypochondriac here!!! Got the Kalms night and something called Uva Ursi which I came across on the COB foundation site. Time will tell if it helps the IC. Also wanted some Pumpkin seed oil, also recommended, but they only do a capsule so may order from Ama*on instead.

I also ended up with a bag full of other stuff from other shops that I didn't know I wanted/needed!!!

WealthyGirl lucky you!!! Tell us all about it tomorrow and give Anita a big cheer from me! DD bought us tickets last Christmas for the Strictly Tour show at the First Direct arena in Leeds in January. Oh I enjoyed it so much it was a brilliant show.

Some chicken breasts defrosting to do Italian Chicken for tea. Mmmmm! Have a lovely evening folks xx
