Homecare direct debit

So...I have BG homecare and they set up the direct debit at the last renewal.


Six months on I receive a letter saying that they got the amount on the direct debit payments wrong and I owe them £x. They're willing to lose a month of that as a sorry, but want to take five month's worth in the next direct debit payment.


Do I have a leg to argue they should write off the whole "balance"?

    Nope, you agreed to the price you agreed to and BG are entitled to recover the difference if they've made an error in billing you.

    You can reasonably ask them to spread out the extra cost rather than them taking it in one lump sum though, assuming it's a significant amount.
