Asda are advertising 1litre of jd at £20 a bottle
if you go in store it is £27, so if you buy on line they will charge you £27. This is a con.
if they do this to you send it back and get a bottle from morrisons for £22

Yes but if they deliver you pay the price instore WHATEVER THE ONLINE PRICE IS.
I KNOW BECAUSE I WAS RIPPED OFF TODAY EVEN THOUGH ITS £20 ONLINE TODAY. AND MY SHOPPING WAS DELIVERED TODAY I ORDERED YESTERDAY WHEN THE PRICE WAS £20 ONLINE.
TOTAL CON. They have charged me £27.
IF THE ONLINE PRICE GOES UP at midnight I DONT MIND PAYING THE EXTRA BUT WHY ADVERTISE IT AT £20 BUT WHEN DELIVERED THEY CHARGE £27 when its still advertised at £20.
i SPOKE TO THE MANAGER NAMED RACHAEL AND SHE SAID IF YOU DONT LIKE IT THEY CAN COLLECT IT FROM ME. SO THEY ARE COMING ON MONDAY. Total rip off and I spend between 400 - 600 a month at asda online.
Anyhow I WENT TO MORRISONS AND GOT A LITRE FOR £22.
As I say, if I order now at 20.45 and the price changes then I dont have a problem.
But why advertise a product at £20 on line but charge £27 instore and then charge the instore price when the item is delivered but online it is still shown at £20.
ASDA Sinfin total rip off - dont order online as ASDA dont honour there prices, go instore or go elswhere.0 -
Why are you typing in capitals?
You do realise that supermarkets charge a delivery charge?
I admit I don't understand..0 -
Cut out the middleman (Asda) and get a barrel of single-cask shipped directly from JD in Tennessee. As a bonus you get your name on a plaque at the distillery. The downside is that you will have the mother of all hangovers.0

a store cannot charge you more than agreed!?0

I ' think' I understand now ..0

So although it is still adverrtised as £20 online you cannot buy it at that price because the price in store is £27.
Surely that is false advertising as nobody can buy it at £20.0 -
Sounds like you're right - raise it with ASA.org.UK and Asda will get a ticking off, not a massive penalty but it embarrasses executives a little, so can help change behaviours0

Firstly please read this post when you havent drank a barrel of jd before commenting.
Secondly order me a barrel brilliant idea, but I bought the bottle as a xmas present,
but not dont order it from from asda as the online price stays the same, but the price you are charged can change, depending on whether the store changes its in store price or not, whether the online price changes or not is irrelevant.
To the other poster its not rocket science, asda advertise a product online for £20, on the day of delivery the price is still advertised online at £20 but they charge the customer £27 because the instore price is still £27 but no one has bothered to change the online price, call sinfin asda and ask for rachael she is the store manger in charge of eCommerce or what i would describe as rip offs.
I asked asda to collect the item on monday and I went to morrisons where a litre of jack daniels is on sale for £22.
As I say, if the online price had changed on the day of delivery then I wouldnt be complaining,
my post was to warn other users not to order JD as they will be ripped off by ASDA.
Asda also like to deliver items that have a short use by date and they also like to deliver substitute items even when you have declare that you dont want substitutes.
Asdas prices are keen but that isnt always the answer when they rip you on on delivery day.
I wont be shopping online with them again
merry xmas0
