Inappropriate life insurance - Abacus.

Abacus are a well renowned company with in-depth knowledge of service personnel and families requirements... we used them for 25 years, we also used them when we wanted to buy a home in the UK while we were still living abroad. They helped secure a mortgage and lessened the stress on our part. They would of discussed the policy in-depth with your son before he agreed to it and as he is a grown man the decision is ultimately his to make. I think it's very sensible at any age to take out CI cover, as critical illness doesn't confine its self to just the older generation.0

My youngest claimant on a CI policy was aged 25. I have had a couple in their low 30s.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). Certainly wish we had been sold CI insurance we were sold everything else... In the end life insurance paid out but CI would have given us a decade with less worry and stress. As others have said your Son has to make his own choices. Good luck to you both and may you be able to look back in the future and think that was all a waste of money but feel satisfaction that you had cover just in case.Solar PV cost £5760 (15/03/13)
