Be Wiser - WARNING - scammers IMO

I could write a list as long as my arm but my biggest concern - I inputted my details to a well known compare site. Nice premium, thought great - lets go for that. purchased policy...
....Got a phone call, as you do to verify details and upsell other products - fine. SO I start going through the details with the member of staff and some of the details she was relaying to me were definitely not what I had originally put into the aggregator site - so I would imagine, I get a policy premium from the compare site - the computer systems used by the compare site and the insurer clearly are not capable of talking to one an other accurately - the insurer uses this to change the details of the original quote and thus allow them to charge a higher premium. Now this higher premium was maybe £50-£60 higher than the original so I thought I'd just accept it and get my car insured..the story doesn't end with that, disputing NCB/questioning a period of time not insured (using a company car for 7 months) and threats of cancellation of course.
The varying details where so obscure that there was no way I could have made a mistake when originally put my details in for a quote - and I did triple check them before purchasing the policy.
So I suggest this is a scheme used by Be Wiser to sell their policies via an aggregator for a lower premium than all of their competitors and then as soon as they have you on the phone use some lame excuses to increase the premium and get the figure up to where it should be so their insurer doesn't pull the plug on their book of business entirely.
Please don't use these guys - I wouldn't mind if it was my mistake but clearly a trick to get more money out of people.
My own opinion of course but looks like a scam to me.

Not exactly a scam, but I had similar thing with Bewiser Ins, I insured a motorbike and stated there was no alarm fitted, when the paperwork arrived a Datatool System 3 was listed.
If I hadn't have noticed, I could have lost out if the bike was stolen.
I would never use them for any insurance after pulling that trick.0
