Office Chair Danger

In Oct 2014, I purchased two new tall reclining office chairs. This week the whole base [5 wheel spider] broke, sending the user to the floor. Luckily they weren't injured, or haven't said if they weren't.
Checking the other, that is showing signs of the wheels splitting as well.
What appears to happen is the plastic wheel splits, the castor fall apart and the base then breaks.
Although the other one hasn't broken yet, clearly I cant take the chance of that happening as the user may be seriously hurt falling backwards onto shelves etc.
I wrote politely to the seller More4Homes, advising them of this and also I had hoped they would last more than this time being proper office chairs.
I received a rather curt reply advising me the warranty on the chairs was only 12 months and nothing could be done.
Do I just resign them to the skip or is the 12 months warranty really only that?
Advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you

As it's a B2B contract you need to read the terms of the contracts for your rights, you have no consumer rights here.
If you think they are dangerous then take the matter to the trading standards.0 -
Sorry should have mentioned, the invoice was to me as an individual not as a business.
Dont know if that changes things0 -
So you are using something sold for home use in a business environment with the additional wear, tear and abuse associated with a business office?

No it doesn't change anything. Regardless of how you bought them you are using them in the course of business, which will in any case void any warranty.fugglestick wrote: »Sorry should have mentioned, the invoice was to me as an individual not as a business.

Although you using them for business, it might be a good idea to mention their quality on the companies Facebook page.0

As a matter of interest, how much did you pay for them each?
This would be instructive in knowing their suitability.0
