Tracking several cards

in Credit cards
Hello there, I'm a web developer that has quite a few credit cards and I spend quite a lot of time juggling them around to get the best out of them and to avoid paying interest.
Although occasionally I've found myself losing track a little bit. So I was just thinking, do any of you know of any decent FREE software that lets you list each credit card along with purchases, balance transfers and end of period dates? - therefore allowing maybe a graphical view of how you stand witch each card, and how close to the end of interest free periods you are.
If none of you suggest a decent program I'm considering developing one. - any thoughts?

My thoughts are that if you are a web developer you must be quite capable of building your own spread sheet, which has the benefits of it doing exacly what you want. I have done this for myself using excel and find it very convienient. I also set up all my re-payment by Alliance & Liecester Home banking with which you can set up payments (and adjust) months in advance. It takes a while to set every thing up but well worth it when it's all done.

Yes I could simply put it into a spreadsheet, but I'd prefer to design an application that others can use to benefit them too. I had a quick look around for existing free services like this and can't find any. So when I find some time next week I'll start to develop my idea.
I find there are a lot of people out there that just don't understand much about the ins and outs of computing, that's why I'm in the job of making it as simple as possible for them.

I use a notebook personally - not very hi-tech but it works for me. Nothing stopping you doing something opensource even if there are alternatives out there.

One thing you might want to investigate is the Egg Money Manager.
This is a web page which screen-scrapes all your accounts at different institutions (including credit cards) and provides a holistic view of your current cash situation.
whilst this does NOT provide details of balance transfer expiry dates and interest rates, the field for the account name can be used for this purpose.
To open an egg money manager account, all you need is an egg account (a simple savings account will do).
I opened mine simply to get the free £10 offer that was in the weekly MSE email a few weeks back. I find it so useful I now use it every day0
