This week I completed on a new mortgage. I have a virgin credit card with 4k used on a 7k limit and I would like to balance transfer this to the Halifax 0% card. My new mortgage is also with Halifax so should I hang off a few months before doing this or should it be ok to apply just now?
Thank you
Thank you

You could try now, but if rejected, leave it a few months.0

I'd also imagine you're not yet on the electoral register at your new property. I'd wait until that was updated at least.0

Ive just been accepted with halifax for a 21 month 0% credit card with no fee and I've only been in the property a month. My mortgage is also with halifax and they've instantly given me a 7k credit limit so it is possible. I asked a similar thing last month aswell lol0

I've been turned down for a current account because I had just moved into a property, so I would wait for at least a month or 2. You don't want to be rejected and have another credit search on your record, which could prevent you from getting credit for the next few months.0
