Good quality, long-lasting and nice artificial flowers?

Does the owner of the cemetery permit these ?Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0

Does the owner of the cemetery permit these ?
That's a good point. As one who has strimmed the churchyard a few times, I know they blow about all over the place and there's often little chance of returning them to the correct grave. They don't look so pretty either, once discovered by a strimmer blade doing 9000 rpm!
Much better than the flimsy glass containers some people use, though. Oh yes, and decorative gravel/glass chips that become missiles......0 -
Hi Robin9,
Thanks for your reply.
Didn't think permission was necessary for putting on (family) gravestones at a church yard? They have containers on for 'real' flowers etc. I think I have noticed artificial flowers at this location before.0 -
Thanks for that comment Davesnave. Wouldn't want to cause this.0

My comment is really just to warn you what happens unless the flowers are weighted-down in some way. Some people use ingenuity and flowers stay where they should. No one wants to ban anything where I live.
A country churchyard is usually different from formal city ones. Grass cutting other than the open areas often has to wait till the bulk of wild flowers are past, which can be late May, or June, by which time it's pretty wild. For that reason, a few people have planted real flowers that repeat, no matter what we 'gardeners' throw at them.
Something like Geranium 'Rozanne' comes to mind. Totally strimmer proof!0 -
Garden centres usually have a good selection of artificial flowers.0

You can get very nice artificial geraniums from ikea0

Thanks for the further replies and ideas,
Davesnave, the headstones have a vase container in their base so these should offer considerable support from adverse weather conditions but thanks for the reminder.
Has anybody ordered any artificial flowers online?
(Not getting out much at the moment).0 -
Hi, called in a local florist shop and the artificial flowers looked too "delicate". She said they were the only type sold at her shop.
I would prefer the stronger plastic type if anybody sells them online?0 -
did a quick google search, seem very popular in usa. Are these the type of thing your looking for:
