New gas connection, cheapest for a meter?

I'm moving into a house that does not have gas. I've arranged with the Scotish Gas Netowork to get a pipe in from the street. However I have to choose a gas supplier that will also install a gas meter.

Anyone know who is the cheapest? Also I was going to go through a cash back site for this but I guess as it's a new connection I can't. Does the supplier tie you into a contract term with a new connection?

I think you will find that all of the companies will supply a meter FOC. The installation of a pipe is normally very expensive though - have you had a quote.

You are not currently tied in to a contract, although with the impending change in regulations that may change.

The comparison sites will tell you which is the cheapest gas supplier for your area - the on-line accounts are cheapest.
