Advice for parking charge(s)

Hello,
I was just hoping to get some advice a parking charge notices I (the registered keeper) received. Basically, on the 31/7/15 the car was parked in a space outside a shop. At the time the driver did not realise that there was parking restrictions there. On 4/8/15 I then received TWO parking charge notices from Norfolk Parking Enforcement Ltd. for the same "unauthorised parking" incident. The contravention times are 19 minutes apart! They both request I pay £100 for each (£60 for early payment) even though they are for the same incident. At the time I though it was a joke, trying to charge twice and the amounts were excessive.
Unfortunately I did ignore them (which after reading the newbies info thread now I realise I should not have) however, I have now receieved on the 24/11/15 Debt Recovery Plus Ltd. letter(s) now demanding payment for £149 (again TWO seperate charges).
Would you suggest that I make an appeal at this point to try and bring it back to the POPLA stage or should I stay in ignore mode? Any advice will be much appreciated.
Many Thanks
Andy

you could send them an appeal (which they will refuse), then IGNORE the after that unless court papers arrive within the next 6 years
or because you have already IGNORED them so far (your choice of action to date), you continue to ignore, unless court papers arrive within 6 years
or you could be daft enough to pay
the choice is yours, but I would not do the latter0 -
There is a lot of stuff on here about these chancers, they are considerable thicker than most PPCs, one to ignore I think. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0

Hi, I have received a letter from Gladstone's with a threat of court action. It appears to be just another threat and not a letter before court claim. Just wondering if it is best to continue to ignore or give a response to this letter?
Many thanks0 -
If you feel in any way threatened by Gladstones, write to the SRA, and the Law Society
https://www.sra.org.uk/home/home.page
http://www.lawsociety.org.uk/get-in-touch/complaints/
Copy both to Gladstones. In the letters point out the links between Gladstones, the IPC, and the IAS, same directors same business premises. They will then know that you are not going to roll over ,
IMO, they are behaving in a most unsolicitory manner, one liable to bring their profession into disrepute. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0 -
same advice as was recently given in this similar thread on the same page one as your thread
