Is it possible to record a Radio Show from BBC iPlayer?

It's not a podcast, it's an iPlayer episode.

There is a couple of ways to do it:

    1) The old fashioned way like you were using a tape deck. Just record the sound as it's playing on your PC (assuming you are using a PC) using Audacity.

    2 ) Get_Iplayer.
Science isn't exact, it's only confidence within limits.

Run get_iplayer and a dos window will open. Copy and paste the following text into the box and hit return. The two shows will download into your get_iplayer download directory, usually on your desktop.

    get_iplayer --type=radio --pid b06qht29,b06r4gpg

The numbers you are entering are the programme PID's.

You don't need Audacity to do this.

Not sure I can be of much more help because I just cut and pasted the above command from my own post above and it works fine.

Only thing I can suggest now is that you delete or move out anything already in your get_iplayer recordings directory and then cut and paste the command below. The --force command causes the cache to ignore what has been downloaded before.

    get_iplayer --force --type=radio --pid b06qht29,b06r4gpg

    Good luck.

    Thankyou :T

    Success :j

I uninstalled 'get iplayer'... then Reinstalled It and everything else, that had ticks in the boxes.

The first time around i had unchecked all the boxes except 'get iplayer' (things called 'parsley' and 'vlc')

I then used your original link 'get_iplayer --type=radio --pid b06qht29,b06r4gpg' and i now have the 2 radio shows downloaded :j

    Thanks again!
