Getting a copy of a will

My step-grandmother died a couple of years ago and was quite vocal they myself and my siblings would be included in her will.
I heard nothing so assumed this was not the case. Is there any way that the executor could have hidden this from me? Or would I automatically haven been notified if I was named in a will?
I am curious to see what exactly was in her will.
If I order a copy on the government website, is there any way that the executor or other beneficiaries will be notified that someone has done so? It is important to me that no one knows I have checked this.
Many thanks
