DRO how long?

I did the calculator thing on some of the debt help websites and they say DRO is my best option.

I have asked for the pack, so I think its on its way.

If all my affairs are in order can I get it through before xmas?

Its relatively straightforward in my case.

You'll need to ask your intermediary what the queue is currently like for applications. I believe it's whatever the current backlog time with the intermediary (if any), plus up to 2 weeks once submitted to the Insolvency Service.
  • I think before Christmas is tight. You need to get a paper copy of your credit file, as well as all your recent statements etc. Mine took just under 2 months start to finish and was pretty straight forward.

I'm currently in the waiting pile too and from information I've gathered most firms seem to have a backlog/waiting time of between 2-4 weeks depending on where you go.

So I'd guess you're looking at roughly six weeks with everything else you have to do included.

The waiting is annoying but I'm guessing as I've been accepted into their waiting pile they've already checked my paperwork and deemed me eligible.. hopefully.
