BoS Vantage Account + Halifax Reward – Internal Transfers

Hi,

I’ve recently opened 3 BoS accounts & a Halifax Reward account.

Can anybody confirm that internal transfers, between the 4 accounts, would count towards the monthly amount; to qualify for interest/rewards?

Depends upon your interpretation of "pay in" but I'd vote NO. I play safe and circulate the necessary funds through a third party.

From personal experience it's ok to use internal transfers.

If an account requires external funding it will very clearly say so in the account T&Cs. Time to get those reading glasses out.

I've already read their T&C, they only mention paying in £1,000/£750 per month.


There is no mention of external funding.

Futuristic

It's fine for Vantage, not sure about Halifax. I transfer between the 3 vantage accounts for the monthly pay in requirement.

Definitely OK. I cycle £1k, via the transfer function, from Reward 1 (with £1k+ overdraft but don't think this matters, unless there's a site crash in the interim)-2-3-BoS1-2-3-Reward 1 every month. I've renamed each account accordingly so as not to lose track, very easily done at my age I cream off the £5 Rewards, leaving the required 2 x £1 DDs funds required, and excesses over £5k in the BoSs as I go. My Reward 1 contains 'Out to 123', where I send the excess and the end of this process.
