Difficult to give a price even on materials because things like doors can be £20.00 each or £80.00 each. Even plasterboard varies in price depending on the thickness/type. Same with the fireplace and fire. Are you removing an exiting fireplace? Does the new one need wiring for the fire? Is this being chased in? If you are skimming the walls will this mean adjusting /replacing the sockets and light switches? How good a plasterer are you? Will you be buying one coat plaster? All this will affect the total cost. One other point about the plaster board; can you transport a 2.4 metre home? (One of the funniest things I've seen is someone attempting to get six full boards into a Ford Fiesta!)It does mean that the cost of delivery would have to be included though. It sounds as though there would be enough rubbish for a skip to be needed as well.
If it helps, when I replaced the kitchen I sat down and wrote down the sequence I would do things in, and used a column on the right hand side to note any tools, materials needed to do that part of the job. It was amazing how many little things came up that I hadn't thought of, but at least when I went shopping I had a detailed list. Even then there were extras, like more tile cutting blades, a special jigsaw blade, etc. It was still worth it though, considering the quote for fitting was over £1000!!

Sorry but I think I did not made myself very clear.
All these above jobs will be done by proffessional. I am getting the job done. So he will transport all materials etc. Skip to be inluded as well.

Doors I shall buy them. Exixting fireplace to be broked and replaced.

I have received a quotation of £3150/- I want to know if it sounds reasonable.

Sorry about the mix-up; I thought it was strange that someone who could skim walls would ask about the price.
Given the amount of labour involved in what you want doing the quote sounds in the right area, but I go on whether they have been reccomended or if they're out of the yellow pages. I've actually taken the most expensive quote before simply because I could see the standard of their work in a neighbours house, and the fact that they were on time and on budget. If there are any doubts, it won't hurt to have a second quote.
