How to start Windows in Safe Mode
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-gb/windows/start-computer-safe-mode#start-computer-safe-mode=windows-7Do you want your money back, and a bit more, search for 'money claim online' - They don't like it up 'em Captain Mainwaring0 -
When you say it's unusable - do you mean the mouse pointer doesn't move ?

Create an Avast Rescue Disk from another machine with Avast installed. Then boot the affected PC from that.
Reboot, install and run MalwareBytes' Anti-Malware and adwCleaner after that.0 -
He managed to shut pc down and router, when he started them again all was well, I did tell him to set up some kind of security as suggested by you all.
Thanks for your input.
