PPI Recalculation

Hi
I have received correspondence from Barclaycard that a claim made in 2013 that was unsuccessful has been reviewed and they no owe me some money, which obviously I was happy with.
When I made the claim in 2013 i made it through a claims company, they came back at the time and informed me that the claim was unsuccessful and that the claim was now closed.
I have had no correspondence with the company since.
Over the past few weeks Barclaycard have been sending letters and I have had phone calls regarding the recalculation and they are now in the process of sending me a cheque.
As I stated earlier I have had no correspondence from the claims company during any of this period, only with Barclaycard.
I received a letter today from the claims company stating that I now owe them 30% of the payment as they opened the claim back in 2013 and even though they had closed the file that did not invalidate the retainer agreement for their services.
Do I have to pay them, as stated above, since the original claim i have had no correspondence with them, part from today when they want 30%.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Cheers

You may very well have to pay them, what do your terms and conditions say?0

It would depend on their terms and conditions - and whether they still exist and remain authorised to carry out claims management activities.0
