Parking awareness

Hi
Received a CPN in the Summer in Blackpool and after reading about the company, I decided to pay, the grand total of £60 reduced from £100 if I paid within a time limit. Now I have received two letters demanding payment of £100 due to failed payment and after me emailing them twice with the proof of payment, I receive another letter demanding the money or it will be court proceedings
They haven't acknowledged the emails and the number to call isn't connecting
Any help or information would be appreciated

Thanks
Patricia

Did you pay within the 14 days? If you did then invite them to issue a claim within 14 days.

If they issue a claim, then you might want to counterclaim to get your £60 back.

If it ever did go to court, which I highly doubt, your proof of payment would be major egg on their face
I think they're just trying to milk you using fear

  • I paid within the 14 days and now they have replied to my email, they have sent in the email a notice for 2 fines for the same car park only 2 days apart one was for the Friday and one was for the Sunday morning, why would they do two?
  • The letter says Parking awareness services
  • They have on the email the date was 27/09/2015..time 10.01pm yet the letter I have received today says date of issue 30/09/2015 time 12.21pm

Why, oh why, did you pay one of these? Please tell us you've read enough on here to know that was not the thing to do. Read the NEWBIES thread and post #3 about IPC members and why not to appeal as there is no POPLA offered - but you don't PAY:

one was for the Friday and one was for the Sunday morning, why would they do two?
Because they can and no-one stops them.

Because their agenda is money and they see you as being on the suckers' list now.

Read post #4 of the NEWBIES thread too, about ignoring the debt collectors.

Please note: I am NOT involved in any 'paid for' appeals service
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

  • I tried reading through the stuff, it was all a bit much and I still wasn't sure what to do, had no idea they had issued two notices as one was attached to car and when the NTK came through I presumed it was for the one I had already paid

Read the sticky thread about IPC and IAS, covered in post #3 of it. Ignore letters from debt collectrs.

Only take seriously real court papers or a Letter before Claim that is NOT a pretend one from a debt collector firm.

Keep all the silly debt collector letters in a drawer marked 'scam'. Come back if you get a real LBC or court papers.

Watch out for these scumbags, they are everywhere. Don't park where there is a PPC, if you can help it. Boycott the place and pop in on foot and tell the business or retailer Store Manager, why you can't shop there.

  • I guess as I have paid for one, I have admitted liability. Should I now, forget the appeal procedure and just sit and store away their never ending demand letters until it gets to the Debt Collector letters?
Then ignore these too but store them away too?
Has anyone actually been taken to court over these parking notices that you are aware of?
And just to clarify, at debt collectors stage, no one will physically come to my home and try force payment and none of this will affect my credit or my job, I need to supply a Disclosure Scotland in the form of PVG (Protecting Vulnerable Groups)
It is and was the job part that worried me initially, hence why I decided to pay but the fact it seems, whenever someone walked into that car parking area, regardless of the fact there was already a notice on the car, they would just continue issuing as many notices they like afterwards.
How long would they threaten you before you hear no more on the matter or is this years of letters and threats in the making?
IF it came to court, I have read the payment if i lost wouldn't be high anyway, so I think now, that's the chance I'm gonna take and sit this one out
Thank you so much everyone for your help so far
