im thinking of getting this, I have the stick at present but I was wondering if anyone can tell me if you definitely have to sign up to amazon prime to use this device?
can I load Kodi onto it and bypass the registration and the device will operate this ok for me?

You don't need Amazon Prime to use or register the box, there is little benefit to avoiding registering it to your account. 4K content (even full HD content) isn't common in Kodi though.0
