6 weeks ago I bought a Toshiba laptop from currys pc world. hardly used as I updated it to a windows 10 version and I prefer my old windows 7. Went to use it today and it says unable to reboot try restarting, I did and the same thing happened. Rang pc world and they said they would repair it but back to original format - it took hours to download windows 10, why won't they repair it back to how I had it.
Is this a problem with Toshiba and although it is 6 weeks old am I entitled to my money back?

I'm afraid the fatal error is completely described in your first sentence!
But being (slightly more) serious, I can't see why PC World could reasonably be expected to restore your laptop to any state other than the one you bought it in.
Did you not make a backup yourself as soon as you had updated to Windows 10, so you could restore it back to Windows 10 in the event of disaster?
Toshibas are unlikely to be more problematical than any other make, if anything, better than some...0 -

on a £100 shop you might on average get 70 items save
10p per product = £7 a week ~ £28 a month
20p per product = £14 a week ~ £56 a month
30p per product = £21 a week ~ £84 a month (or in other words one weeks shoping at the new price)0 -
My guess is that its a problem caused by windows 7 .
Another guess is that the laptop has a factory recovery partition on it and you could restore it to its factory settings .0 -
So an expensive macbook that has probably been cared for, probably kept in an expensive laptop bag and away from the kids is more reliable than a cheapo windows laptop that cost 1/6th the price, had coke, tea and biscuits poured all over the keyboard, dropped, and used in bed blocking ventilation? Who'd have thought.
Saying that, my wife drove over her toshiba laptop and it still works fine (don't ask).0 -
my main point was that Toshiba laptops generally come out well in reliability studies, was nothing to do with Apple in this regard.Drop a brand challenge
