MP3 player

My wife would like an IPod or MP3 player for Christmas? Any ideas about which one to get?

Smart phone would have that function.

I would recommend a sansa clip mp3 player if using a phone is not an option..

I don't have any specific recommendations, but things to consider would be:

How many songs/minutes/gigabytes will you want the device to store?
What file formats do you want supported (MP3, FLAC, WMA, OGG, MP4, etc...?)
How much are you willing to spend?
Do you want the device to be mounted like a hard drive, so you can copy music using a file manager, or are you happy to use proprietary software?
What operating systems need to be able to support the device (Windows, Mac, Linux, etc.)?
Do you need a screen to more easily navigate between tracks and folders?
Do you have any preference of battery type -- built-in? user-replaceable? standard disposable?

Thinking about the above might help narrow-down the choice.

Price is main question. I do recommend the Ruizu X02 at the cheapest end of the scale
