Successful PPI claim, but...

Hello,
I claimed a PPI and am expecting a cheque/funds transfer any day now :j:j:j.
One of the creditors contacted me yesterday whether I would be happy to clear an outstanding balance I am paying through a DMP for (that should happen in 6 weeks time). The number they told me for a loan was a very different to the one on the DMP statement
. The very same applies to c.c. through the same creditor. How could I find out the real balance for both and how come such difference ? Could I also claim c.c charges?
I declined to pay an outstanding balance on above c.c. as I need enough cash for a rent deposit.
I'm a bit disappointed with all this as I thought I would have a bit more money in my bank acc. Any advice?
Many thanks,
taj
