Landlord not returning deposit

I did not report in writing about the blind however I reiterated again that it had been destroyed by damp which he had failed to fix- I also told him that it had ruined 2 beds. I took photos of the black mould.
I didn't replace door handles as they were faulty and impossible to replace- this had been reported- don't see why I should have to pay to replace something which he failed to do during out tenancy?
How do I post photos on here from a mobile phone?0 -
So request your deposit back from the protection scheme in full. There's no point trying to post the photos on here, it won't help get your money back.Greenbumfluff wrote: »I didn't replace door handles as they were faulty and impossible to replace- this had been reported- don't see why I should have to pay to replace something which he failed to do during out tenancy?

I didn't replace door handles as they were faulty and impossible to replace- well it would be reasonable to charge for the replacement (faulty or not) this had been reported- don't see why I should have to pay to replace something which he failed to do during out tenancy?

You don't need to post photos, you need to claim your deposit. Now. This minute.

Sooner you ask for it back, the sooner you get it back. But you are probably hoping in vain to get it back before Xmas. But to be honest, relying on this money for Xmas probably wasn't the most sensible thing (particularly as it was used up as a deposit - it wasn't money in the bank account etc).0

I completely agree with you Mr. Deannatrois. According to me you must apply for the return of money. And there is no benefit of posting the pictures here. You must try to get your money back.0

When you are told you will be getting your money back within 28 days you don't expect to be still waiting two months later- which will be first of January- especial when the landlord has a legal obligation0 -

Which 'legal' obligation?
You can sit and wait and wait and still have to apply, or you can apply now. Your choice0 -
I hate to wheel it out again but....

Have you requested the money back from the scheme?0

We contacted the DPS 8 days ago and were told they had to have contact from agent and ourselves before they could release deposit- this is what he is failing to do.
He is legally obliged to contact them within 28 days- which he has not done.0
