So you're saying that it isn't a good idea to do the CH and instead we should sort out the rest of the house? Or do you mean that you shouldn't do anything else until you've done the CH? (Sorry!)
Do the CH before any decorating or carpet laying , and have those electrics checked first as well , get the messy , dirty stuff out the way before putting your loving touch on it!Never, under any circumstances, take a sleeping pill and a laxative on the same night.0 -

The annoying thing is that after all of this the EA can't seem to give me a straight answer as to why I need to attend this meeting to give them all of our details to make good on our offer of the house (even though we have an in date AIP!) so I think we'll be giving this one a miss! All the info still helps though if we find another house without CH!
EDIT: Turns out that the property isn't of a standard construction so we would only have been able to get a mortgage through certain lenders, hence the reason for the appointment etc. - It was just badly explained over the phone initially0
