I only use word and excel and rarely too.
Where can I download a version free or cheap, preferably latest version, which is clear of virus or limitations please? I'm a basic user.

I know that there is Open Office free to use, but also in your workplace they have a licence, and as an employee you can get it for less than £20:T:T:T0

you could use the cutdown version online not very sophisticated but does the basics, I bought 365 through Amazon and am very pleased with it, it can be used on up to 5 pcs/tablets, the Cloud storage is pretty good too. Downside - annual cost of £60 ish. It also comes with Outlook.
Alternatively Office Home and Student (no Outlook) is quite cheap. https://buymsoffice.co.uk/microsoft-office-home-student-2010.html. I have tried to use the freebies but nothing is as good as Word or Excel especially if you are trying to do big reports. Try doing a document in A4 portrait with 4 pages in landscape with some of these freebies in Office 2013 / 365 it was a cinch.0 -

What's an 'mot salesman'? Never heard of one of those? Are they up north or something. Is your poor lickle head confused?
Maybe you didn't realise, but I read the thread that cameltoe referred to regarding your car.
If it's all true, then the only way you're getting an MOT certificate is by buying one (presumably in a pub where such deals are done) - hence you need a salesman.

If your workplace offers it, this would be the best option. It's called the Home User Program, and it's not always well publicised by employers, so even if it's not something you're aware of, it could be worth asking your Personnel / Human Resources.0
