Closed Halifax and then reopening

Hi,

I have just switched my Halifax account to M&S to get the £100 voucher. Its been accepted and opened. Now, wondering if I can now open a NEW halifax reward account as a new customer having left them and switch my M&S back to a Halifax reward account?

Can I? Will I get the reward from Halifax?

If you haven't previously had a joining bonus from the Halifax since January 2012, then yes. If you have previously had a bonus you can still open a new reward account, but you won't get another joining bonus.

I could then wait get the voucher from M&S close that account and move that to Halifax? Or will that affect my credit rating?

It should only have a negligible effect on your credit rating, providing that the rest of your credit history is clean.
