I want to be pushed from the job, how to approach it?

Unlike most people that sadly are being made redundant, I am the opposite.
I would like to be pushed by my company instead.

I work in a senior role and have completely lost the motivation and will to work in this company due to a number of changes there.

The pressure of the job has led me to a mental breakdown and stress as well, my doctor has actually written me off work for a couple of weeks and wanted to keep me at home for longer, but I can't as I need to return to work as we are at year end.

Instead of just handing my notice and leave within a month, I would like to have some sort of compensation package offered.

This would not be a first, they have recently offered colleagues who have been at the company for only 1 year, 4 or 5 months gardening leave instead of the 1 month as per contract.

I would be happy with a similar package, but how can I go about doing that?
Suddenly becoming crap at my job to "force" them to sack me, isn't me. I can't do it and I don't want to burn any bridges in the future.

I just lost the motivation to be there, the pressure has got to me, and I need some time off.

Would a honest chat with my manager and HR be the best way to do things? Not sure how to suggest/approach it.

    If you want to leave it's very unlikely you'll get a compensation package to leave with.

    If work is making you ill then just hand in your notice spend your notice period off work sick and move on. I've done that before. It's not the best way to leave a company but it was just hurting me continuing working there so I just had to do it.

    If you can't afford to then get your doctor to write something about work related stress on the fit notes and you shouldn't get sanctioned for leaving. I wasn't sanctioned so I went straight onto contributions based JSA. It doesn't pay a huge amount but it covers the essential bills. It doesn't pay enough to cover pre-existing debts so you'll need to keep paying them by borrowing money from other sources.

  • Why would the company want to compensate you because you want to leave? Put your business head on and think it through. You have to produce a situation where they want you to leave.
    Your only real options I can see are to become poor at your job or wait till redundancy is a possibility.
    Or you could get signed off for a good long time and then approach them with the thought of a settlement?

    Could you look at the option of moving to another department?
    As you have been there under 2 years, they can let you go with no reason or payout
