Dropbox email - scam?

Wasn't sure where else to post this, so if it's in the wrong place, please excuse me.

I received an email today from Dropbox. It says I have a "pending incoming document shared with you via Dropbox".

I've never used Dropbox, don't even know what it is. This is a scam, isn't it? Anyone else had one of these?

You don't have to have a dropbox account to receive a file ,
You will get a link to a file that someone has shared via their dropbox account, and the link is just to download the file ..

However, If you are not expecting this file then chances are that it will be a virus and that the distributors are trying a new method of delivery ..

My advice - delete and ignore

Thanks, Andy. I did wonder. Just clicked on the link and it requests me to log in with my email address and email password. Mmmm....may give it a miss

The link request should have said who it was from though. So did you recognise that?
