    apple puree, or a mix of apple and rhubarb is nice. also sliced banana with choc spread on the bread- real comfort food!!!

  • I love B&B pudding with marmalade - and I believe it is called Paddington Pudding, because it's Paddington Bear's favourite. If you're working without a recipe (I never stick to recipes, more of a freestyle merchant, make it up as I go along) - four eggs will set a pint of milk.

  • i have to make a 1/2 and 1/2 bread an butter pudding for my family as one of the kids don't like the mixed fruit that goes in so i ust miss that out o one side of the dish always come out fine still i was going to put a few slices of apple on her side of it when our apple tree is ready

    well ty all

    in the end i used apple but what i did first was to "stew" the apple a bit to make it softer and i have to say it was lovley im gonna experiment now with other fruits

    only problem now it was so nice gonna have to buy bread especially - instead of using up LOL
