Would it be possible to recommend the DIY route without continually slagging off advisers? That way us newbie investors would be able to make a judgement based on facts and not an embittered point of view.
Do you really feel that DIY is the best option in the OP's case? He has posted this question here and on the pensions board and seems very reluctant, or perhaps unable, to follow up the various suggestions given to him.0 -
hmm, uhm, yeah, well sort of.... Never any affiliate links, I certainly don't hold with that, but I was linking back to my site cos I thought it was genuine and useful. There's a lot of overlap between moneysavingexpert and the stuff that I'm trying to do in my free time - help consumers make the right choices.

Ed, I have to agree with jem here. The OP ( like many people ) is clearly not in a position to DIY - an IFA would be his/her best option, IMO. Like it or not, there is a place for financial products...0 -
Anyone who wants the bonus can look for a referrer. There's a whole section devoted to referral links. You can mention that there's a referral bonus, but not point to your own post in a thread with them.0
