in Credit cards
Hi I need help
I have got me a £4000 over draft which I am very much bouncing off of this is due to sum problems the wife had last year which put her in hospital for 3 months, any way is there any way of paying off this overdraft with a balance transfer to a credit card or is this not the best way of doing it ?
thanks

Unfortunatly not
Would need to take cash out or cheque and that would be a cash advance
If you had 2 cards you could pay it off as cash on one then immediatly transfer to the balance to another in which case you would get the 3% cash advance fee and a small sum of interest between the date and the date you transfered it0 -
Some CCs allow BTs to your current account , i.e. the MBNA stable of cards and the EGGMONEY card will allow this.
However, this will probably cost you more interest so unless your bank is pressing you to clear the OD then it wouldn't be a good idea unless you can BT to a 0% card or a low OB card.
What is the APR of the OD?
Do you have a good credit rating?
But mainly you must look at your income and spending and free up some more money in order to actually pay of the detb rather than simply transferring it about.0
