Solicitors summons £275 now due.

With the misleading help from these forums, I have now received a letter from a Solicitors, stating that I now owe £275 due to my unpaid parking ticket. 100 for the fine, 25 for the admin, 150 for the legal costs. If I do not make payment within 14 days of the letter, they will take our clients instructions (UKCPS LTD) on how they wish to proceed which may include considering legal proceedings.
I initially read the Newbies thread, where it states do not ignore if in England, so I wrote a letter stating my reasons (with the help of the forum) and then recieved a rejection. This is now my latest letter I have received.
Any words of advice?
