Bleak looking areas

Indeed, the area of Great Britain is pretty bleak...hopefully I can move to Scandinavia someday
Well.....I would be jealous there...if I hadn't read recent news about Sweden getting somewhat "overwhelmed" by unexpected increases in its population recently....
Errrrm....and you do need to bear in mind that there is actually such a thing as "genetic inheritance" that might determine what particular temperament you have and you need to check whether it matches the usual temperament of the country you have in mind. Damn those blinkin' genes......but I've come to realise they do have an influence and your body WILL influence how YOU feel. Yep...I don't get it either....but it is what it is (though it aint fair s*d it)...
Have you seen that recent research, for instance, that proves that a substantial proportion of the Danes for instance have a "cheery/optimistic" gene in their bodies that many British don't have?0 -

Have you seen the statistics from WHO which show that all Scandinavian countries and Iceland have significantly higher suicide rates than the UK?
You can prove anything with carefully chosen data.0 -

ALL of them Dave?
I know about the Swedes and their higher-than-normal suicide rate....
But...yep....I do tend to agree about those cheerier Danes. Jealous - moi? Nah...much...0 -
Yes, all... I reckon it's worse the further north you go, when SAD becomes more severe. I believe Iceland and Finland are worst.
However, they're not up there with some Asian and African countries, where different factors are at work.0 -
The economic factors that would be then Dave with those other countries....
Feels like there aint a way to avoid summat-or-other that is nothing to do with you personally coming up and "cracking you over the head" whichever country you happen to be in then?:p (be it your own darn genes in your body or the particular country's economic circumstances or summat - delete as applicable....).0 -

....or political, though it's very interesting to note that both Iraq and Syria have traditionally been well below theUK in the suicide stakes.0
