    Nope, i'm with lloyds.

I'm convinced this was a error on argos' side. Regardless I'm yet to get my remaining £15.99 but once i'll do i'll have them honour the two games which are £46.99 each now. The least they can do.

Nothing wrong with asking them but imo its likely that Argos will decline your request for a goodwill payment/gesture/gift.

With that in mind, keep your requests reasonable and polite.

You wont have them do anything. You can politely ask, but I can tell you what their response will be now.

"Im sorry for any inconvience, this was an issue with the bank ring fencing the money and as such was totally out of our control. This is why nothing showed up on our systems when you enquired as no order was produced.

Im afraid the items in question were a one off special price for Black Friday and have since reverted to their original price. As such we are unable to offer them to you for the reduced rate"

No I don't see how you can even ask for compensation, just get your money back and move on.

Argos website was woefully slow on Friday and Saturday, it took me about 3 hours of intermittently trying to reserve something.

Saying that, what provable losses do you have? Why do you deserve compensation for what may have not even been argos's fault (if they have no record of the order this is likely a bank/verified by visa fault). Also in the grand scheme of things £30 is not a significant amount of money to loose for a couple of days, failure to have adequate funds to cover issues like this/emergencies is hardly anybody's fault but your own

I'd hold off asking for compo as to be frank; you don't deserve it
