Hi i understand i can claim tax relief on my yearly membership. But can i claim tax relief on exam fees? My company only paid for my first attempt and two of my exams i had to sit twice so had to pay for the exam fee myself. The exams are required for my job but can i claim tax relief

Thanks for the reply but could you please elaborate why. Just want to understand why these aren't allowable? Tax wasn't something i covered in detail. Is this just because the exams enhance your career? As i assume if i was self employed and did a training course that would be allowable?0

Only professional subscriptions - not exams or course fees.0

If you have to do continuing professional development exams as a requirement of your profession after you are qualified, these can be claimed against tax- however improving your knowledge as part of studying towards a qualification cannot be claimed.Stuck on the carousel in Disneyland's Fantasyland

OP - you'd be better off posting this on the "Cutting Tax" forum.0

Hi guys, not sure if it is too late to help you with this but I am studying CIMA and have got a discount code which gives 40% off all study material. My friend is studying ACCA and apparently the discount works for that too!
Just go to their website, add your items to your basket and add the discount code HSBd1Sc-s
Happy studying :-)0
