£25 from tutoring today, and £218.08 commission from helping my friend to promote her business and sell her stuff.
December was starting to look a bit dire, with my being so poorly last week but it's suddenly looking up a bit.
Hope the rest of the month as good

Evening folks :hello:
Well I have some super news to share !!
My DS wanted a new tablet and I have been saving for one as well this year.
We went to the world of pc when he was visiting and the tablet he was interested in, Sam Sung Gal*xy Tab S2, was on special offer - reduced from £319 to £219 - and a bundle of starter kit, security and cloud was £30 so a total of £249 instead of £349.
I had the £70 in vouchers that I claimed from Cons Pulse last month and DH said he would give me £50 towards it for my birthday (January) and so my DS and I said we would have one each. I then asked the sales guy if we could get a further discount for buying two tablets with bundles - and he gave us a further £10 off each meaning £239 each :T
DS took the last one that was in stock as he was heading off to South Africa at the end of the week and I put mine on order. It seems they were totally sold out and had to wait for more from their supplier - hence I didn't get mine until late yesterday.
However, I'm well chuffed !! I am going to add the £110 saved plus the £50 from DH so a total of £160 to add for the month.
Loverly jubbly :j
Hope you all have a money-making Monday

That sounds like fun Lex with the exam - how did you get on ?? I can see you're going to be out and about at all those rallies you wanted to see at this rate. Well done :T

It went okay, I think. Hoping for a high A but it may only be a low one.
Haven't been on this weekend as a friend was visiting from London - which also means no surveys. I'd say I missed a bunch from Panelbase and ValuedOpinions (about 17 invitations combined) but we all know I'd have been screened out of at least 14 of those anyway :rotfl:
Re-sold my wii for £20 after the last buyer dropped off the face of the earth and this one has actually paid so I don't have to deduct it from my total after all! Hooray!
Another £5 in fleabay sales over the weekend
Month: 178.81 / 310. Still ahead of target! :T

Well done on your tablet savings, Lynne. Brilliant result:j
I keep eyeing up tablets very enviously, maybe one of these years I'll manage to buy one:o. I wish you lots of fun with yours:beer:
Are we going for the 1000 posts again this month? I'm sorry I haven't posted much lately but no money made and not much to say that anyone might be interested in:o
Am putting my new specs on hold until the New Year but must make sure I check how long the prescription from the eye test a few weeks ago is valid for. Don't want to let it lapse in my usual head-in-the-sand manner:o
Have a good money-making week, everyone:beer:. If you can't manage to make any, don't spend too much of what you've already got;)0 -
Sure wishing you luck with that Aesop.
I know you'll come up trumps

thank you found one present on eBay. although couldn't see anything about earning nectar points for it.
he wanted to buy 2 soft toys for Macmillan Nurses at school, but when he got there they were completely sold out. I was reading his link book and he had written that the toys would be on sale last week, the day he asked me for money to buy them. Then next to it had written fail
I felt bad for him as I thought he had grown out of soft toy age but he told me he wanted them as they were cute. He still goes to bed with soft toys and counts them all to make sure they are there before going to sleep. So found one toy that I think he will like, not seen the one he was trying to buy, that has been posted, so will get this week.
Now to find the other one!
He wants to wear a xmas jumper on wednesday for xmas dinner because he thinks everyone else will be wearing one. My son doesn't own jumpers as he is always too hot! he wears tshirt and shorts in the house! So am refusing to buy it just because "everyone" in school will be wearing one.0 -

Lynne is doing a great job of aiming for itand people seem to be posting more for it, so yes why not.
and we are always interested in what you have to say.0 -
Whenever I wanted something just because everyone else had one my Mum used to say that was more reason for being different and not having one. I never saw what she meant at the time especially when I was a teenager wanting the latest fashion in clothes:mad:
I think it taught me a valuable lesson and as I got older and was able to choose and buy my own things (not just clothes) I tended to do my own thing. I hate following the crowd even now, I like to be a bit off kilter:rotfl: . Probably just as well as I could never afford what other people seem to want/need anyway;)
If your son is really bothered by being the odd one out maybe you could do something simple to make his usual gear a bit Christmassy.0 -
Another contribution to the 1000 thread target coming up;)
Having a blitz on online surveys today as have neglected them recently. Have to stay in to wait for the man who's coming to treat the lawn with moss killer. It's a very big garden with a lot of overhanging trees in places which have caused it and all our DIY remedies have failed:(. OH has reluctantly decided to spend some money(wonders will never cease;)) on getting a professional in. Trouble is, he's gone out and left me to deal with him. No idea what time the guy is coming, he just said it would be today sometime:(. I hate waiting about for people to turn up:o.
Might as well try to earn some money but have been screened out of so many surveys already, 8 on Crowdology alone:mad:. I will make some money today if it kills me!0 -
I've just received £20 M&S vouchers, the final instalment of the £100 paid for last year's energy fix, just a few days after getting £40 for this year's so I am well pleased. The post also brought vouchers for £3,£2 & £2 off a £20 spend at Mr T's. I don't shop there much, but when they send me vouchers for money off I do my damndest to get everything I can on some kind of offer to really make it work for me.
All this brings my total so far this month to £240.33. I can't believe it!
Keep it up folks!!!0
