Hi I'm having a bit of and issue with my Jaguar XF 2012 rear indicator it seems to work some of the time it's fine while driving it one day then the next a very faint flashing I'm wondering if someone else has come across this before is it a problem with the indicator or a relay fault any advice is much appreciated Thanks
If the front indicator, side repeater and dash light are still working as per normal, then it can really only be the rear cluster, can't it?

BTW, they don't have "indicator relays" in the same way as they used to any more - it's all software and a little speaker to give an aural warning.
  • But it does work some days

My crystal ball says it's earthing/GND fault OR water inside the light unit.

Is it both rear indicators? Does it behave differently if you turn on the hazards? does it behave differently if you turn on the headlights?

Cheap option, get some contact cleaner, pull the connectors off the rear light clusters, spray contact cleaner into the connections and then work the connector on/off the unit a few times. MIGHT solve the issue.

Firstly, if you can't afford the running costs, why buy one?

Did the OP say he couldn't afford it?

I wouldn't be too keen either and I'd be looking in to alternative fixes too.

And that is why people should start new threads for their own issue. It causes confusion...

Does a library stack books by date or by subject?

There are arguments both ways, but I personally prefer to keep a subject in one place.

But a library doesn't complain if you read one of the older books ;)
