Airport car hire instead of parking?

We will be flying in August from Standsted Airport. We will be away for 27 days. Now parking would cost a fortune. The question is, if we were to hire a car from Ipswich to Stansted for a day and the same back, wouldn't it be much cheaper than parking?
Do you know any cheap hire companbies who would do this?

Yeah I looked at this- Bham - LGW L:gw- Bham , 2 one wy rentals- was about the same as 14 nights car parking, ( although a bit more hassle for me, collecting car) so yes for longer than 14 days it certainly worth looking at
