No. You pay what it would cost to have the car repaired. You don't pay to have the car repaired.
You can ask to see the quote for the work, broken down, and compare to another quote you obtain from a main dealer.0 -
All this sort of thing totally puts me off renting altogether. Why can't rental companies expect that minor scratches are going to occur and build that into their rental charge instead of charging every punter a rediculous amount for insignificant 'damage' which they probably won't even repair anyway or if they do, the car will probably get another scratch on the next trip out? It seems to be a money making scam with some hire companies/rental offices.0
