If under the direct debit is reduced and if over the direct debit is increased.
Supply reading as often as you can and the estimate will be reduced or increased sooner rather than later and by a smaller amount. Wait a year and the difference may be quite large.
I've been here in this flat for 7 months and we've had 2 reductions so far. Posters on here tell me the direct debit is too low and will be increased after the winter readings are supplied.:footie:Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)
Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money.

it's your direct debit based on estimations of your annual usage, if your usage is under you'll build up a credit, if over, you'll build up a deficit0

You would expect to have a debit balance after winter anyway, so it is going to be very difficult to judge if you're paying enough or too much - unless of course you know what your annual usage has been and your lifestyle (and the weather!) are unlikely to drastically change over the next 12 months.

Definitely NOT a fixed price. Its only a guide based on your past usage in kwhrs. It may rise or fall when readings come in, hopefully monthly but quarterly if possible.0
