Help with iTunes.

OK so we have bought some music to take to old peoples homes to sing Carols this Christmas. But some are too fast!
So is there a way of slowing them down a bit without changing the notes?
They are on iPlayer on our old Macbook and iPad.

There are apps for the iPad that can do this - e.g.

Or Garageband on your Macpoppy100 -
Thanks, I have Garageband08 but I cannot see how to open a tune from iTunes on it! When I go to the help or tutorials it just takes me to Apple sales and tries to sell me a later version!
If I click on new music project it comes up with a keyboard and existing project shows iTunes but all the tunes are in light grew and cannot be opened!
Any experts tell me what I am doing wrong?0 -
Audacity, which you can install free on your Macbook, can slow playback down. You can change the pitch, which would be like slowing a record down (voices will go LOW) but there's a different setting where this won't be affected - I don't know off the top of my head what this is called. You can then save the 'slower' MP3s for use...0

Thanks but as usual I am feeling very thick. I have downloaded audacity and put the tune in it, I can play it slowly in audacity but this changes the pitch and I cannot export the tune in the slow mode!
Just seem to go round and round in circles, these things should be simple, garage band, I can now import the tune but cannot see where the control is to slow it down!0 -
I found this but I can't vouch for it:

I use QuickTime Pro to slow audio without changing the pitch. But I'm not sure whether it can be saved in the slowed format.
