I'm looking to increase the memory in my laptop but I'm getting conflicting information as to the maximum it can take. Some sites say max is 6gb, others say 8gb.
Its a hp pavilion g6. I beleive it's a g6-1209sa
Can any shed light on this please?

It's been tested in another laptop. Definitely faulty.

I suspect you can use 8GB
What laptop did you test it in as the RAM may not have been compatible in that system ?Science isn't exact, it's only confidence within limits.0 -
Crucial and Kingston both have a search facility where you can put your model in and check upgrade or replacement memory if that helps.0

So do I. I suspect the 6GB quoted by HP is an error in their docs.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB
