ive been reading this thread for a while but not really posted. you have done really well and seem so much happier being with your sister, i didnt think anybody could beat themselves up as much as i do but seems i have some competition in you
if you are going on a date tomorrow don't you think somebody had better break the news to SS?

The colour of my hair and the colour of my dress registered with him but I am not really sure that anything else did but he really did not come across as the nervous type since when we met he came right over to my group of friends and introduced himself so I do not think he is a shy or nervous type somehow.

I learned how to do it from the biggest professional at it in the world so I should be good at beating myself up by now.

I agree he doesn't sound nervous, but it's a start and he did remember bits? of you- so perhaps go with the flow if you want back up get your sister and brother in law to lurk in the bar discreetly and if everything ok you acan arrange a signal for them to go and everything not you can always try the old mobile trick and they will be on hand to pick you up.

So I will have to wear the same dress again then. :rotfl: We actually live in the city centre so I could walk home but I am more worried about not actually having anything to say for myself.

You'll be fine, men are simple creatures- just look interested! Dont do what one of my mates did though. she was in london at some famous club and got chatting to a bloke, she asked him what his claim to fame was- he said he had ******* jade G**dy, needless to say she ran a mile!!! shame she didnt get his name- the mind boggles.

i was set up with my oh by my sister. he's my bil's friend and he asked for my number ( i told my sister no but she gave him it anyway) i was worried as i hadnt been on a proper date before, i had known all my ex's before i went out with them. i met him in the pub and as i didnt want to give my number to anyone i didnt know i didnt make any effort for the date, it was all good though and nearly 3 years down the line we're still together

Anyone who can use their previous sexual partners as a chat up line deserves for everybody to run away from him. :rolleyes: Looking interested is not the problem but sometimes actually fully comprehending what I am being told and being able to respond appropriately can be but for now I am really just most concerned about checking that he is absolutely and definitely and totally single.

I still feel sick and headachey but it was absolutely brilliant and I had a really good time and lots of fun and I am much richer as well.
