Frog Porridge on offer at a street market in Malaysia. The frogs in question were hopping around in a tank ready to be cooked...

...with a net over the tank, so they couldn't hop it!

Rented a lovely villa in a gorgeous spot in the south of France a few years ago.

Peaceful, tranquil, serene, proper swimming pool.

But little did we know that next door was a farm where geese were slaughtered twice a day and turned into Fois Gras.

The screams of those poor force fed geese was as bad as it gets.

In Peru I had the opportunity to try a local delicacy, roast guinea pig on a stick, didn't look great with a stick up its backside but it was so delicious much to the displeasure of my gf.

Personally seeing dogs shoved into tiny cages on the back of scooters on their way to restaurants to be slaughtered.

One of my colleagues was working abroad once in africa and was offered the opportunity to blow up a cow with an rpg7 for $100

Sick and very silly thing to do, and has been known to backfire! Google 'RPG Failure videos', but not on a full stomach.

Survive, and all the medical costs would be unclaimable on any insurance.

Failures of rgp7's compared to the frequency of use is pretty low also im not sure if the cow would have ended up medium rare or not, oddly he refused the kind offer.

Just thought of another vietnam one that i experienced which was a little old lady skinning live frogs in a market just off of le loi in hcm

  • On the way down from Dalat to the coast in Vietnam we stopped at a coach stop for toilet and food stop. On the little stalls along with small bags of cut fruit were tortoises/turtles lay upside down on their shells with large white bobbles of fat squeezed out of their sides. It appeared they'd been boiled!! Urgh!! I never ate any.

We were in Dalat for 5 nights a few weeks ago. There's a big daily market just up from the Lake, with a few unedifying sights in the fresh meat section.

Did you visit the Crazy House...
