Hello everyone,
I am a super skinflint and proud of it. I love free things too and for some reason I do accumulate a lot of top, useful things from people giving things away. But I also believe in being kind In return so I make the effort to give things away too. Can't cope with clutter and only have what is needed, useful or super meaningful.
Today I am giving away two cookbooks, in mint condition, to the local charity shop at our community centre.
For December I am going to make an effort to at least rehome one item a day to someone else..I will document it here.
Would anyone else like to share.? It doesn't have to be a daily giveaway, but it sure would be fun to hear of anything you have decided to donate..
Look forward to hearing from you,
Francesca, Tasmania.

Today, Sunday, I have eight more books to donate or give to more appreciative receivers and a small bag of 100 plastic pipettes for a class of arty children.
Thank you for reading, TM.Listen to the sound of the wind in the trees when no wind stirs....0 -
I think this is really good as an activity to keep me focused re money saving and spending. The more I give away, the more I realise that even though I have made far wiser financial choices in the last few years, I have still wasted money and bought items superfluous to requirements. I am also happy to save other people a few cents by giving them things they need.Listen to the sound of the wind in the trees when no wind stirs....0

We have an ongoing book stall at work. I buy a lot of books, often at charity shops. If I know I will want to reread I keep them but a lot go to the stall and this raises funds for the local children's liver unit.I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back0

I've just given a great pile of tools to a tool recycling charity
"Tools for Self Reliance".
They provide tool kits and training for the poorest people in Africa to enable them to earn a living.
I had a tour round and was very impressed with what I saw.I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.0 -
I hope we can all be inspiring. This is a wonderful way to help others.Listen to the sound of the wind in the trees when no wind stirs....0

Today I have a few more things to list.
I got rid of an item that buffs your nails, 7 bags of jewellery findings, two pens, a CD, 3 books, a small bowl, 4 wooden hearts and a bag of gemstones. Most of the items went into my class craft kit to use for making clay bejewelled Christmas ornaments with my students. But in truth, whilst I am super happy to re home these items, I do wonder why I spent good hard-earned money on them in the first place.

Today December 1 I have donated 35 books. These books were lurking in my office at work and I gave them to a few students in my class to take home for Christmas reading, with the promise to pass on to someone else when they had finished.Listen to the sound of the wind in the trees when no wind stirs....0
