Hi,
I'm about to scrap my car and don't want to try taking it apart and selling the bits on Ebay. Rather than paying a scrapyard to dispose of it, I'd like to see if I can make a bit of money for it.
Has anyone any experience of either www.scrapmycar.com or www.anypart.co.uk/scrap car ?
Part of me things 'what have I got to lose' about another part of me doesn't want to hand the car over to someone who'll dump it down some country lane or anything unscrupulous.
Alternatively, does anyone have any recommendations?
Thanks.

Some regular scrap yards will pay £20 for scrap cars, or you can have it collected for nothing (see adverts in back of local paper).
I've no experience of those websites.Happy chappy0 -
yeah local paper should have a few ad's "cash paid for old cars " etc
or bung it on ebay ...might fetch a few pounds0 -
the days where it cost you to get rid of a car are well over thanks to chinas growth and the cost of steel/energy, up in glasgow the ads start offering £80-£100 for bangers0

Put the car on ebay at a starting price of £500
