  • I was contacted by MHO by email at the beginning of January. I had to phone to answer various security questions and was told that my cheque should be with me by the end of January. I haven't received anything yet. I wondered if anyone has got their refund from MHO yet or had been in contact with them? I've emailed but had no response so I'll try phoning later in the week when I get chance...
  • Same as you SummerSeven, I emailed them again beginning of February and 10 days later (!), they sent an email saying it will be end of this month instead...Still waiting.

Thanks nmiss007, I'll see if I can info through the Trading Standard agency(ies)...
  • We were told we would get a cheque by the end of March - My husband called and spoke to someone, we then emailed and was told 1 week (back on the 1st Feb) we still have nothing.

We have made contact today and have been told our cheque has been approved and will be sent out next week, so we should get it the following week.
  • I received a letter from BPHA asking for me to call them urgently. I called and was informed that BPHA are issuing refund for non compliance. The advisor I spoke to was very vague and said that they couldn't go into much detail. I had to answer some verification questions and then was told was the housing manager had to verify me and I would receive a cheque in the post within 30 working days. Has anyone received a refund from BPHA and if so did you get a breakdown or literally just a cheque and how long did it all take? Thank you.
  • The cheque eventually turned up, and is in the bank!

However, there was absolutely no information with it whatsoever. It does look like a cover-up of some sort, but to be honest, the money came just in time for unexpected bills, so I'll let that go. I doubt that anyone could expect more than the interest back anyway.

Why should you expect any money back at all?. The error that they made didn't effect you at all and i bet you couldn't even explain the reasons that you are getting the refund?.

Also if this money was needed for bills then you really need to improve your budgeting and have money set aside for "unexpected bills".
