and which police force was that for?

Is that the police forces in the places you have lived? The Met, Avon and Wiltshire.

    As for financial situation.

You could seek temp work for the next few weeks, just to keep you going.

I recruit support workers and dealing with DBS's is the most frustrating part of the process.

One candidates DBS took 9 months for it to come back clear! Although, they gave up and withdrew themselves from application after a couple months of waiting (understandably).

have you tried to find out whether it's West Yorkshire or South Yorkshire that's causing the problem?

Sorry, I'm just curious because I have a DBS ongoing with one of them.

Hey everyone. Thanks for the replies.

Well there's not much improvement at the moment. Stage 4 is still in progress, which is by this point frustrating as hell!!

It feels as though i'll never be working at the moment. It's hard to take my mind off it. My life is frozen until the government say i'm not a pedophile, murderer, rapist, terrorist, robber, etc. Knowing people are in the same boat helps, but it's still annoying.

I've tried to get details but DBS are incredibly tight lipped and won't say a thing. I've still not gone over 60 days (in about 3 days I would have), so hopefully when I can escalate it things will be faster

Due to my experience, the bad timing (near Christmas now) there's nothing much I can do.

Due to the profession i'm in and my degree/postgrad experience at the moment (education and health) everything I get requires a DBS which is frustrating  Makes me wish I did something different non-medical and non education based now!

I've had more time to concentrate on my studies, but like everyone else I need money!! I do have a 6 hour post at the moment (that pays around £10 an hour), but surviving on that is tough at the moment.
