Bought a Samsung UE48JU6500 and hubby just connected to sky box and set it up but sound seems muffled,
In Sound Settings menu I have the following set up Audio Output - STEREO
Digital Audio Output - Optical --- DOLBY D
Digital Audio Output - HDMI --- NORMAL
Digital Audio Output Delay - 0ms
Using an Hdmi lead into Hdmi 1
Thanks

How does Freeview sound?0

If you have a sky box you may not have an aeriel so like myself I can't get freeview.
I would check there are no bent pins in either side of the connection.0 -
Hi, no access to freeview as we have no aerial, Hdmi lead is fine, and yes we have done the sky box settings.
When trying it with the Xbox one we have the same issue so it seems it's a tv setting.
Thinking we might need to get a sound bar but wasn't something we would need with a new tv, it is a decent spec 4k curved tv so didn't expect this issue.#JusticeForGrenfell0 -
We had a very tinny TV so connected our stereo aux input to the Sky box, sound bars seem over priced so look at bluetooth speakers, most come with a lead you can plug into the headphone socket of the TV.0

But where are the speakers meant to go?! You're still stuck with small ones, so there's only so much they can do. You'll have some settings that might help. Maybe there's one for wall mounting/table mounting - make sure you have the right one selected. There might be some surround sound settings - play around with these, but simply 'Stereo' might end up being best. Again, where is surround sound meant to come from?!0 -
Is the 'S-FORCE' sound effect on? If so, turn it off:idea:0
